Catholic Homecoming

Take another look and COME HOME to the Catholic Church
If you have left the Church
Or felt like the Church left you
Or you just gradually drifted away
Or have questions and just don’t understand
Or say that you’re Catholic, but rarely go to church and don’t feel connected
Or you want to find God and to follow Jesus and you know that you can’t do it on your own…
DO NOT BE AFRAID!
“Open wide the doors to Christ!”
Pope John Paul II
Lord, lover of mankind, fill us with the love your Spirit gives.
May we live in a manner worthy of our calling;
Make us witnesses of your truth to all men and help us work to bring believers together,
In the unity of faith and the fellowship of peace.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you,
And the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.  Amen.

If you are hesitant to come back to your Catholic faith after having been away for awhile please read what one of our Catholic Home Coming participants said about why he came to our sessions and why he is now  back in full communion with the Church after 32 years!

“You can always come home, and the Catholic Home Coming will show you how in a real non-formal way. I came home after 30 years and it changed my life in a big way! It’s so amazing! You don’t want to miss this! Confession is what was missing from my life. I found a release from my past sins and forgiveness so that I could move forward in a whole and positive way. We all need to hear that we are forgiven. Life has new meaning for me and I know it can for you, so don’t miss this great opportunity. Come and be blessed!” – Mike Ginther, age 48.

TESTIMONIALS:
If you are hesitant to come back to your Catholic faith after having been away for awhile please read what one of our Catholic Home Coming participants said about why she came to our sessions and why she is now back in full communion with the Church!

“God is. God is good. God is here – in the Catholic Church he founded! Before I went through the Catholic Home Coming, I only believed the first one. Now I know beyond doubt that all three are true. As Catholics, we are blessed with the Eucharist. Our God is here – body, blood, soul and divinity – loving and asking to be loved by you and me. Catholic Home Coming helped me find this marvelous love that had always been right here waiting for me. This five part series is a chance to get reacquainted with the Church in a comfortable, informal setting. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about yourself and your God! Maybe you’re excited to come back to the Church. Maybe you’re not sure if you can come home or how to do it. Maybe you don’t know if you even want to come back. Whatever the case, Catholic Home Coming is absolutely where you need to be. This is a golden opportunity to find whatever information you need to make your decision. So come home! Feel the love!” –Kate Mitsch, age 24, attended Catholic Home Coming in September 2011Is something missing from your life? Why do people return to their Catholic faith after being away?

“Which one of you, having a hundred sheep and losing one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the one that is lost until he finds it? When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders and rejoices. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance,” – Luke 15:3-7

TOP TEN REASONS TO COME BACK TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
10.  Because you want meaning in life. In the rush of everyday living, has your life lost a sense of  meaning?
9.   Because childhood memories surface.  Has the secular world led you away from the simplicity of faith?
8.    Because you made mistakes. Are you burdened with the weight of past mistakes?
7.    Because you need to forgive others. Do you need God’s help in order to forgive others?
6.    Because you want to be healed. Do you carry deep spiritual wounds that are stopping you from getting on with your life?
5.  Because the Catholic Church has the fullness of truth and grace.  Are you seeking the Truth?
4.  Because you want their children to have a faith foundation.  Do you need help instilling moral Christian values in the lives of your children in this secular world?
3.   Because you want to be part of a faith community. Are you looking to join others as you walk toward union with God?
2.   Because you want to help other people. Are you searching for tangible ways to “love your neighbor as yourself”?
1.  Because you hunger for the Eucharist. Is God calling you back with a hunger that can only be satisfied in the presence of Christ in the Eucharist?

Never forget: You Are Always Welcome Home!
