“A Future Full of Hope” – Parish Mission

The recent months have a lot of us wondering, is there still hope for our future? It seems like most of the news we hear is negative. Come to the mission and hear the good news and hope in Jesus Christ as Father Bill Garrott, O.P. presents, “A Future Full of Hope.”

Fr. Garrott plays the piano, organ, guitar and composes music. He enjoys a wide variety of music from contemporary Christian to Jazz. Fr. Garrott was a 17 year-old high school soccer player when he first began to experience and understand the joy of knowing Jesus Christ in a deeply personal way. Once a fan of the rock group Led Zeppelin, Fr. Garrott now uses his musical talent to draw listeners into a deeper knowledge of that unconditional love which the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have made known to us through the richness of the Catholic Faith. Fr. Garrott has preached over 30 musically based missions through out the United States and has released a CD of selections performed during parish missions, some of which are his own compositions. Currently, he is Director of Vocations for the Dominicans of St. Joseph’s Province, headquartered in New York City.

As long-time advocates of health care reform, the U.S. Catholic bishops continue to make the moral case that genuine health care reform must protect the life, dignity, consciences and health of all, especially the poor and vulnerable. Health care reform should not advance a pro-abortion agenda in our country.
